ABOUT NADA DIREITO

In 2012, I released my 2nd album, Egologico Recycle and I was awarded the title "Revelation CBC/Radio Canada 2012-13 in Word Music". In 2013 CBC invited me to prepare a special show to be broadcast on TV and they also offered me 3 days of free recording sessions at the great "CBC Studio 12" in Montreal, as part of the award.

I selected few original songs created in collaboration with other artists, poets, painters, photographers and designers. My goal was to involve people from different art fields and cultural backgrounds to create a unique music record.

The band (Vovo Saranda, Silvio Modolo, Fabrice Laurent, Francis Covan) and myself had a few rehearsals before the TV performance. On February 7th we had the show and from February 8th to 10th we recorded 10 songs live at CBC Studio 12.

We also had additional recording of sax, trombone, flute (arrangements by Genevieve Lapointe), back vocals, guitars, percussion, sound effect and and 4 special guests. Editing by Diogo Ramos in Montreal and mixing and mastering by Ze Americo Bastos in Rio de Janeiro. Artwork/Graphic design by Wallace Roza and Enrico Lima. Music videos and photos from the original live recordings in the studio, by Dioni Pereira.
